Florida Softball Remains No.7 Following Series Win Over Auburn

April 20, 2026

Following the weekend, the Softball America Rankings saw some changes, yet Florida held steady, maintaining their No.7 spot after a series matchup against Auburn.

The Florida Gators (43-6, 16-5 SEC) dominated the Auburn Tigers (24-21, 3-15 SEC) in the first game of the series with a 9-1 run-rule victory in five innings

However, Auburn fought back in game two, shutting out Florida in a 4-0 win while out-hitting the Gators eight to five.

In the rubber-match Sunday, Florida chomped its way to a 7-1 victory on Sunday, taking the series over their SEC opponent.

Following game two, Jocelyn Erickson and Kenleigh Cahalan each earned Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) Golden Tickets in a post-game ceremony. The Golden Ticket signifies that they have each been drafted to play in the AUSL.

The Gators have advanced to 43-6 overall, winning six SEC series this season and each of their four home series.

Florida will travel to Tallahassee on Wednesday for a 6 p.m. matchup against No. 12 Florida State.
