Florida Women’s Basketball Lands Jordan Jones From Transfer Portal

April 20, 2026

The Gators Women’s Basketball head coach Tammi Reiss continues to fill out the roster heading into her first season with the team.

Florida announced today that the team has signed  former Denver and Arizona State guard Jordan Jones. Reiss described Jones as “extremely versatile” and is excited to have her on the roster.

Jones, a Cheyenne, Wyoming native, played her first three collegiate seasons in Denver.  She led the team in scoring both her sophomore (14.9 ppg) and junior year (19.9 ppg). During her junior season, Jones scored a career-high of 30 on two occasions.

Following her junior year, Jones was highly recruited in the transfer portal. She decided to transfer to Arizona State last season, where she did not play due to injury.

In high school, Jones was the 2022 Wyoming Gatorade player of the year. She also was a three-time First-Team All-Conference pick in 2020, 2021, and 2022. She collected other accolades such as being a two-time First Team All-Wyoming selection in 2020 and 2022, and a three-time First Team All-Academic honoree in 2020, 2021, and 2022. She also led her high school team to the 2021-22 Wyoming State Championship.

Jones is the fifth transfer acquisition so far this offseason, joining former TCU guard Taliyah Parker, Rhode Island guard Vanessa Harris, Butler forward Mallory Miller and Penn State guard Moriah Murray.
