Florida Baseball’s Fall Schedule Features 5 Games

Florida baseball is back – for the fall. 

The Gators begin fall practice Sept. 28 at Condron Family Ballpark. They will also compete in five games which will give fans a taste of the spring season to come. 

Florida’s first exhibition game is Oct. 16 against South Florida at George M. Steinbrenner Field, home of  the Tampa Tarpons, the Single-A affiliate of the New York Yankees. 

Florida will then face Troy on Oct. 24 at Blue Wahoos Stadium in Pensacola. Not only will this be the Gators’ first time on the field since 2013, but it’s also against the team that ended their 2026 season. Troy upset Florida in the NCAA Gainesville Regional.

Florida will  finish the fall schedule at home: Oct. 28 against the Ontario Blue Jays, an amateur club out of Canada, Nov. 1 against Mercer and Nov. 8 vs. Air Force.

Aiden King will be on the minds of most fans during this autumn slot. The sophomore was named the 2026 SEC Pitcher of the Year after going 8-2. Also returning to the roster are shortstop Brendan Lawson, third baseman Ethan Surowiec, designated hitter Caden McDonald and first baseman Landon Stripling. 

The Gators’ fall roster includes 12 freshmen, nine transfers and 17 returning players. Coach Kevin O’Sullivan is back for his 20th season with the Gators. 

All of Florida’s practices and intrasquad scrimmages will once again be open to the public.
