Jadan Baugh Runs into Top 10 of Gators’ All-Time Rushing List

October 10, 2026

Jadan Baugh continues his excellent career for the Gators.

Baugh started Saturday’s game against South Carolina, ranked No. 11 all-time in rushing yards with 2,456, before a string of runs capped by a 4-yard run early in the first quarter helped him surpass Chris Rainey, placing him in the top 10 at 2,466.

Right after the run, Florida quarterback Aaron Philo threw a strike to Bailey Stockton for 59-yard touchdown giving the Gators an early lead 7-0 in Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Last week against then-No. 25 Missouri, Baugh managed only 13 yards on 12 carries. The Tigers stacked the box to prevent Baugh from showcasing the same explosiveness he’d shown the previous four weeks.

The Tigers dominated to spoil the Gators’ visit to Faurot Field, 45-17.

“He [Baugh] texted me yesterday, ‘coach, I’m sorry I won’t let that happen again. I didn’t play my best,’” Florida coach Jon Sumrall said Monday.

Before Saturday’s Week 6 game, Baugh ranked No. 5 in the country in rushing yards (613), tied for No. 1 in touchdowns (11) and fifth nationally in attempts (95).

He has a chance to get as high as No. 7 on the list by the end of today’s game.

To enter the top three, Baugh would need to surpass Neal Anderson (3,234), Emmitt Smith(3,928) and the only Gator to pass 4,000 rushing yards, Erric Rhett (4,163)
