Jackson Lynch is a sophomore majoring in Journalism with a specialization in Sports and Media. He also minors in Business Administration and is pursuing a certificate in Sport Management. Jackson joined WRUF ESPN Gainesville in January 2025. Originally from Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington D.C., Jackson also works as a contributing writer for FanSided’s District on Deck, where he covers the Washington Nationals. Driven by a passion for sports, much of his life has revolved around them. He especially enjoys football, basketball, baseball, and many Olympic sports. Outside of journalism, Jackson spends his free time playing sports, especially football and basketball, and spending time with family, friends, and his dog Bentley. He has attended games at 23 of the 30 major league ballparks and is on a mission to visit them all. His favorite memories as a Gator so far come from the 2024-2025 men's basketball season, above all the celebration on University Avenue after the national championship win. In the future, he hopes to work full time in the sports industry.
