9th Ranked Gators Fall to 13th Ranked Auburn

Florida would respond with two goals of their own; Savannah Jordan scored the first goal on a penalty kick after freshman Mayra Pelayo was brought down in the box. Jordan would score again in the 72nd minute after she split the defense on a pass from Meggie Doughtery Howard. This was Jordan’s 14th career multi-goal match and her third of the season. She currently leads the Gators with 12 goals and 27 points this year. The game-winning goal for Auburn came with 25 seconds left after Casie Ramsier scored her second goal of the match off of a corner kick. The Gators fell to 8-3 on the year, while Auburn improved to 10-1. The Orange and Blue return home for their next match this Friday as they welcome Kentucky to James G Pressly stadium. Match time is set for 7 p.m.
