Gators Will Get Reps After Rain Washes Out Scrimmage

August 23, 2012

The Gator football team was supposed to scrimmage on Tuesday but bad weather washed it out so now the team will get more reps in practice as the season opener looms a little more than a week away.

Florida was off on Wednesday but will take reps today and some tomorrow and then begin game week preparation for Bowling Green according to Gator offensive coordinator Brent Pease.

Pease also added that the quarterback decision would not be made until Monday.

Pease also discussed some of his offensive philosophy and said Gator fans will see a lot of what he did under coach Chris Petersen at Boise State but also said he would do some things to create mismatches for some Gator players he feels can hurt defenses in specific matchup situations.

Florida got some good injury news when Pease said tight end Jordan Reed has returned to practice and that he will play in the season opener after suffering a knee injury last week.
