Area High School Football Schedule Kicks Off Tonight; Oak Hall Wins!

The local high school football season is now underway after Oak Hall defeats the Florida School For The Deaf 56-6 Thursday night.

Tonight, the other area schools start their seasons and right out of the gate there are two nice rivalry games as Buchholz and Eastside clash at Citizen’s Field and Newberry will host former coach Tommy Keeler and his Santa Fe Raiders.

Other local teams will be in action as well as Gainesville High travels to face Yulee and one of the top running backs around in Derrick Harvey; PK Yonge will start its season at Williston; Union County is at Fernandina Beach; St. Francis opens at home against Quincy Monroe Day and Hawthorne opens at home against Keystone Heights.
