After playing what he termed as a relatively “clean” game, Gator coach Will Muschamp and his staff look past a win over Florida Atlantic on Saturday and now prepare for this Saturday’s game at home against Alabama Birmingham.
Florida came out of the FAU game with no major injuries although Trey Burton got hurt early and did not return. We should know more on his status as early as today.
While Florida opened its season Saturday, UAB and coach Neil Calloway will open its season this week after a rare first week bye in their season.
Despite the win, Muschamp says there are a number of things Florida needs to work on and he did not like the fact that his defense did not register a turnover while the Gators committed three of their own.
And we do not know the status of defensive lineman Sharif Floyd who has been indefinitely suspended due to some sort of eligibility issue. There is no indication as of now as to how long he might be out or how many games he will miss.
