The Gators softball team came through with their seventh consecutive SEC series win this past weekend after completing a sweep of the Auburn Tigers with a 5-2 victory on Sunday.
Sophomore righty Hannah Rodgers pitched six scoreless innings for the Gators for her 19th complete game of the season, giving up only two runs, six hits, while notching five strikeouts.
After four scoreless innings, Gators freshman Sami Fagan got a rally going with a two out, two RBI double. Freshman Lauren Haeger added a pair of runs to the board as well with a two-run homer to put the Gators up 4-0.
Florida tacked one more run on the board in the sixth with a sac fly by Kasey Fagan. Fagan says that it feels great to contribute whenever possible.
Looking ahead to this weekend, the Gators (38-5) will be hosting FIU for a double-header on Friday and a game on Saturday.
