Braves Win Again And Rays Lose In MLB Action

The Atlanta Braves pull to within five games of idle Washington in the National League East with a 7-5 win over the Miami Marlins Monday night.   Martin Prado had four hits and Tim Hudson wins his 15th game for Atlanta.

In other NL games, San Francisco nips Colorado 2-1; Pittsburgh blanks Chicago 3-0 and Philadelphia beats New York 3-1.

In the American League, Baltimore beats Seattle 10-3 to move to within a half game of AL East leader New York.   New York starts a series with Toronto tonight.   Tampa Bay is now five and a half games behind the Yankees after losing 5-2 to Boston.   Chicago beats Detroit 5-4 to move three games up on the Tigers in the AL Central.

Oakland visits Detroit tonight while Chicago is at Kansas City.   The A’s have the wild card lead by a game and a half over Baltimore.
