Muschamp Talks State Of Gator Football

After defeating the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday, the Gator football team will take some time off before beginning preparation for its bowl game.  Florida closes out the regular season with an 11-1 record.  UF head coach Will Muschamp is pleased with the team’s progress this season.

Gator redshirt junior linebacker Jelani Jenkins suffered a foot injury in Saturday’s win against the ‘Noles.  Muschamp says that Jenkins may miss the bowl game after undergoing surgery on Monday.

There will be no quarterback controversy heading into next season. Muschamp declared Jeff Driskel the starter for 2013.

Also, Muschamp says he will encourage the underclassmen to do their research when deciding about pursuing NFL careers early.

The Gators will know their bowl destination on December 2.
