Florida Baseball Set for Series with Stony Brook

February 28, 2015

The Florida baseball team will host Stony Brook (2-4) tonight at 7 pm. The Orange and Blue enter Friday’s match up having just lost one game on the season thus far. Florida is coming off of a 10-8 win against FAU.

Florida will send sophomore Logan Shore to the mound Friday night to welcome 2012 College World Series competitor Stony Brook. Shore exited his last outing last week against Miami after he was injured in the first inning. Shore will be followed up the rest of this weekend on the mound by Dane Dunning and AJ Puk.

Taylor Lewis will likely play a key roll on the mound at some point this weekend for the Gators. In relief, Lewis has been dominant in his time this season earning two saves alongside a 1-0 record and a 0.00 ERA.

Stony Brook will have righty Tim Knesnik on the mound in hopes of upsetting the Gators. Knesnik has yet to earn a win this season.

Florida will be looking for their third straight series win this weekend. Catch all the action on ESPN 850 WRUF.
