The Florida baseball team evens its three game series with Vanderbilt with a 7-3 win on Friday in Nashville.
Florida is now 37-14 and 16-10 in the SEC while Vanderbilt falls to 36-15 and to 18-8 in league play.
Vanderbilt took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first but the Gators went up 2-1 in the second on a two run homer by JJ Schwarz, his 14th of the year. Harrison Bader hit his 12th homer an inning later to give UF a 3-1 cushion.
Florida would score two more runs in the fifth on a wild pitch and a Pete Alonso RBI double and two more in the eighth to put the game away.
Florida starting pitcher AJ Puk gets the win, allowing only two runs in seven innings while striking out a career high 12; he is now 7-3 on the year.
