Florida Soccer Takes on Oklahoma State Friday Night
The eighth ranked Florida Gator soccer team welcomes Oklahoma State to James G Pressly Stadium for their first Friday night home match of the season. The Gators are 3-1 on the season while Oklahoma State sits at 2-1. The Gators are coming off a 3-1 win against top ranked FSU, the defending national champion. The Gators jumped out to an early 3-0 lead
in the first half and held on for the rest of the game to defeat the Seminoles for the second straight season. Junior Savannah Jordan and freshman
Sarah Troccoli scored a goal against FSU and both earned SEC Player of the Week awards. Jordan also earned her fifth Offensive Player of the Week award and Troccoli got her first Freshman of the Week award. Oklahoma State is coming off a shutout victory over Georgia 4-0. The Gators and Cowgirls have met each of the last two seasons with Florida winning both matches. The Gators won last years match 4-0 where Jordan contributed a goal.
