Legendary Gator Alum Jack Youngblood Glad to See Rams back in LA
NFL Hall of Famer and former Gator Jack Youngblood is among the many people excited about the relocation of the NFL Rams franchise from St. Louis to Los Angeles. The former defensive end played for the Rams for all 14 of his NFL seasons when they were originally in LA. The Rams drafted him 20th overall in the first round of the 1971 draft.
By the time Youngblood walked away from the game in 1984, he had already amassed a number of individual and team accolades with the Rams. He played in seven straight pro bowls, five NFC championship games, one Super Bowl, and managed to play in a team record, 201 consecutive games.
As a result, Youngblood was inducted into both the College Football Hall of Fame and the Pro Football Hall of Fame (Class of 2001). He is also one of just five players named to the Gator Football Ring of Honor.
