Miami Dolphins Shut Out The San Francisco 49ers

The Miami Dolphins are on fire after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 31-24 Sunday, making it their sixth straight win. The Dolphins are now 7-4. This is the first time since Nick Saban was their head coach in 2005, that the Dolphins have won six games in a row. A franchise record was also set for the 49ers at the conclusion of the game, making it their 10th consecutive loss.

One of the biggest plays of the game came when Dolphins 305-pound defensive tackle, Ndamukong Suh tackled Niners quarterback, Colin Kaepernick just two yards short of the goal line as the clock ran out. Suh says the main mission of the game was to stop Kaepernick from making plays and they accomplished that mission.

Another key player for the Dolphins is linebacker, Kiko Alonso. After the win on Sunday, Alonso says it’s not fun chasing Kaepernick, who has quick feet, but at the end of the day they stopped him, which contributed to the Dolphins getting the win. In the last three games, Alonso has been in the right place at the right time, with two interceptions and two fumble recoveries. He became the first Dolphins linebacker since 1993 to recover a fumble and intercept a pass in the same game and the first NFL linebacker to do so this season.

Dolphins quarterback, Ryan Tannehill says he is proud of his teams growth and all the improvements they have made. Tannehill went 20-for-30 with 285 yards, three touchdowns and no turnovers. He threw scoring passes of 16 yards to Dion Sims, 43 yards to Kenny Stills and 15 yards to rookie Leonte Carroo. This was his fourth time in his career that he has thrown for at least three touchdowns without a turnover.
