The Florida Gators (6-1) women’s basketball team is set to host the Prairie View A&M Panthers (3-3) Wednesday in the Exactech Arena.

Ra Shaya Kyle put away two free throws at the start of the OT to give the Gators a 70-68 lead. The Cougars scored five points to take over. Gators v. Panthers
This season the women Gators currently have a five-game winning streak at home. In nonconference play the team has not lost a home game since the 2019-2020 season against Florida State by one point. If the Gators win the home game against Prairie View A&M it will be their 20th consecutive nonconference-play-win at home since 2019. Florida is six games away from hitting the 800th victory mark since the program first started in 1973.
PVAM is coming off a 100-66 win against Jarvis Christian University. Senior Diana Rosenthal led PVAM with 31 points.
This matchup will be the third time the Panthers and the Gators go head to head. The Gators lead the series 2-0. Back in 2019 was the last time these teams competed, and the Gators won 51-44.
The Gators take on the Panthers Wednesday at the Stephen O’Connell center. Tip off is at 5:30 p.m.
