Anthony Richardson to Throw at NFL Combine

Former Florida quarterback Anthony Richardson will be working out this week at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported Monday.

College to Combine

In his first year as a full-time starter for the Gators, Richardson had a fluctuating season.

While no one doubts his athletic gifts, some are concerned about his consistency and ability throwing the ball. This past season he completed just 53.8% of his passes for 2,549 yards. He threw 17 touchdowns and nine interceptions.

He did also rush for 654 yards and nine touchdowns.

The 6’4″, 232-pound quarterback finished the season averaging 7.8 yards per pass and 6.3 rushing yards per game.

Draft Projections

Richardson’s prospects for the 2023 NFL Draft have been on the rise and gaining some traction recently. Originally, he was mocked to potentially fall lower in the first round.

Now, it’s being reported he won’t escape the top-10. CBS Sports’ most recent mock had him as high as No. 1 overall to the Colts.

Aside from Richardson, eight other Gators were invited to the combine — the most since 2015. He’ll be joined by Brenton Cox Jr., Trey Dean III, Gervon Dexter, Richard Gouraige, Ventrell Miller, Justin Shorter, O’Cyrus Torrence and Rashad Torrence II.

Combine Schedule

The 2023 NFL Scouting Combine will be running in Indianapolis from Monday, Feb. 27 through Monday, March 6. The quarterbacks will work out Saturday, March 4 starting at 1 p.m., along with wide receivers and tight ends.
