XFL Orlando Guardians vs Arlington Renegades

The Orlando Guardians and Arlington Renegades took to the field for Week 3 of the XFL season and the Renegades came out on top, 10-9.

The Guardians are yet to win a game this season and are now 0-3. Orlando is looking for redemption as they take on the Houston Roughnecks again on Saturday. The Guardians and Roughnecks faced off in Week 1 with the Roughnecks winning 33-12.

Game Recap

Throughout most of the game, the Guardians were up but couldn’t seem to come out on top at the end. During the first quarter, the Guardians managed to put a field goal on the board while the Renegades remained pointless until the very end of the 1st quarter where they tied up the game 3-3. Neither team managed to score a touchdown in the first quarter.

During the third quarter, neither team managed to rack up any points and the scores continued to remain 3-3.

Throughout the game, both teams seemed to have a strong defense with both teams falling short when it came to offense.

Guardians quarterback Paxton Lynch finished yesterday’s game with a total of 219 passing yards and one touchdown in the fourth quarter.

But it was the Renegades who would get back on the board in the fourth quarter.

A quick slant in the red zone tied the game at nine and an extra point conversion would put Arlington over the top.

Quiten Dormany

The Guardians are currently in hot water as backup quarterback Quiten Dormany has been cut due to allegations that he gave plays from the Guardian’s playbook to opposing teams.

Inactive players

Although this season is just now starting, the Guardians already have a number of injury problems.

Heading into Sunday’s Week 3 game, the Guardians had five players who were labeled inactive. There has been no word yet if any of these players will be back for the rematch game against the Houston Roughnecks on Sunday.
