Liana Handler, a sports coordinator/editor at WRUF, is a senior, majoring in journalism with a concentration in sports and media, minoring in Spanish. She aspires to be a print beat reporter, covering baseball for The Athletic. However, her favorite stories focus on the intersection of sports, culture and community. She's had bylines in the Independent Florida Alligator, the Tampa Bay Times, The Baltimore Banner, the Orlando Sentinel and WUFT News. Recently, she graduated from the Sports Journalism Institute as a member of the 2025 class. In her free time, she enjoys watching Jane Austen movies, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and playing dominos with her family and friends.
