2023 NBA Playoffs: Round One Roundup

Match-ups for the 2023 NBA Playoffs continue as wrap up the Game 4’s with a Monday doubleheader.

The Miami Heat will take on the Milwaukee Bucks while the Memphis Grizzlies face off with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Sunday marked the first Game 4 matches of the year as the New York Knicks took on the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Sacramento Kings played the Golden State Warriors, the Boston Celtics played the Atlanta Hawks, and the Denver Nuggets took on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Knicks vs Cavaliers

The New York Knicks beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 102-93.

Upon last night’s win, the Knicks expanded to a 3-1 lead against the Cavaliers. If the Knicks win Game 5 on Wednesday night, the team will advance to the next round.

Kings vs Warriors

After an extremely close game, the Warriors managed to secure a 126-125 win.

The dub for the Dubs ties the Kings and Warriors at two a piece. The defending NBA Champions, have now won the last two games against the Kings.

Klay Thompson from the Warriors was on fire with four 3-pointers in Sunday’s game. With his buzzer-beater 3-pointer in the third quarter to his 3-pointer at the very end of the game, Thompson played a crucial role with 26 points in the Warrior’s win.

Celtics vs Hawks

After losing to the Warriors in last year’s NBA Finals, the Celtics are back, hoping for their first title since 2008.

Boston won Sunday’s game against the Hawks 129-121, advancing their lead to 3-1. The Celtics were on a two-game winning streak before the Hawks swooped in and won Friday night’s game 130-122.

Nuggets vs Timberwolves

The Nuggets are currently leading 3-1 but fell short of the Timberwolves in Sunday’s game.

Before the game, the Timberwolves had yet to win a game but came back in Game 4 to secure a win. The Timberwolves beat the Nuggets 114-108.
