Jisel Nuevo is a junior transfer student majoring in Journalism with a specialization in Sports and Media, while pursuing two certificates in Sports Management. A Miami native, she is a WRUF reporter covering UF Track & Field and previously covered high school football during the fall season. Outside of reporting, Jisel can often be found in the WRUF 98.1 FM | 850 AM studio producing athletic events and sports shows. She also holds two certificates in Digital Marketing. Passionate about storytelling, Jisel aspires to become a versatile sports broadcast journalist, with a focus on sideline reporting and hosting, highlighting the stories that exist beyond the plays. Her love for basketball keeps her loyal to the Miami Heat, and outside of journalism she enjoys staying active, dancing, and trying new experiences.
