Jake Hoffman is a junior at the University in Florida majoring in Journalism with a specialization in Sports & Media. His goal is to become an on-air sports broadcaster for a professional basketball or football team. Jake is currently a beat reporter for WRUF (ESPN Gainesville). His passion for sports attributes to his goal of becoming a broadcaster, as he wants to use his voice to give people insights and knowledge about the game in front of them. During the summer of 2025, Jake interned at Meadowlark Media, working as a production assistant for the Pablo Torre Finds Out (PTFO) sports podcast. Throughout this experience, he managed film schedules, props, scheduling and youtube thumbnail selection while gaining a clearer sense of what it takes to produce entertaining content. Jake also interned at Schneps Media, the leading daily newspaper and media outlet in New York City, where he wrote articles about New York sports. Jake resides in Long Island, New York.
