Jisel Nuevo is a junior transfer student majoring in Journalism with a specialization in Sports and Media, while pursuing a certificate in Sports Management and a minor in Public Relations. A Miami native, she is a reporter for ESPN 1 Gainesville’s covering high school football as both a beat reporter and sports writer for WRUF. She also holds two certificates in Digital Marketing. Passionate about storytelling, Jisel aims to become a versatile sports broadcast journalist, particularly as a sideline reporter and host, highlighting the underlying stories beyond the plays. Her love for basketball keeps her loyal to the Miami Heat, and outside of reporting, she enjoys staying active, dancing, and trying all kinds of new things.
