Matt Montalto

Matt Montalto is a fourth year student at the University of Florida studying journalism with a specialization in sports and media. He is the hockey beat reporter for both college hockey and the NHL. Matt started writing for his high school newspaper, the Raider Review, writing game stories on his high school's teams. He then went to Santa Fe College with the intention to transfer to the University of Florida. Since then, he has written for WRUF, anchored news and sports for First at Five at WUFT, and calls play-by-play for the Orange and Blue Sports Network. Matt looks to graduate in summer of 2026 and work as a news or sports reporter for a television station.
