Heat Beats Celtics To Go Up 2-0 In NBA Playoffs

By on May 31st, 2012

The Miami Heat withstood a 44 point barrage from Boston Celtics point guard Rajon
Rondo and beat the Celtics in overtime 115-111 Wednesday in Miami to go up 2-0 in their best of seven NBA Eastern Conference Final series.

LeBron James scored 34 points and grabbed 10 boards for the Heat and Dwayne Wade added 23 but it was the unexpected scoring of Mario Chalmers who had 22 points that was a key to the win.

Game 3 moves to Boston Friday.

Game 3 in the Western Conference Final is tonight in Oklahoma City where the Thunder are down 2-0 to San Antonio.

And the NBA Draft Lottery was held last night and the New Orleans Hornets won the right to the number one pick, expected to be Anthony Davis from Kentucky.   Charlotte had the league’s worst record but did not get the pick in the lottery format.
