The Florida baseball team avenges a 4-3 loss to UCF in Orlando on Tuesday by beating the Knights 10-2 in Gainesville on Wednesday.
Florida struck quickly in the first inning, scoring two runs on wild pitches with Buddy Reed (double) and Harrison Bader (walk) scoring the runs.
In all, the Gators scored seven runs in the first four innings to take command of the game early.
Offensively, senior Josh Tobias continues his hot streak, going 2 for 4 with two runs scored while Christian Hicks drove in a couple of runs and Harrison Bader drove in his 20th run of the year with a solo home run in the sixth inning.
Reliever Kirby Snead (1-0) gets the win in relief of starter Brett Morales who pitched into the fourth inning for Florida. Snead pitched two and a third innings of scoreless relief.
Next up for Florida a weekend home series with Maine that starts Friday night.
