Gators Still Sixth In New BCS Poll

The 9-1 Gator football team is still sixth in the latest BCS standings released Sunday.

The new number one is Kansas State; the unbeaten Wildcats beat TCU to remain unbeaten.   Oregon is number two with fellow unbeaten Notre Dame at number three.

The team that has been number one most of the year, Alabama, falls to number four after losing at home to Texas A&M.   Georgia is fifth.   The rest of the top ten has LSU seventh, Texas A&M eighth, South Carolina ninth and FSU tenth.

We should get an idea today from Gator coach Will Muschamp as to how the injured Gator players from Saturday are doing, including quarterback Jeff Driskel who left the game with a sprained ankle.

Florida plays Jacksonville State Saturday in its final home game of the year.
