The 2012-2013 NBA season is now underway after season opening games were played on Tuesday.
Defending champion Miami got off to a good start, beating the Boston Celtics 120-107 despite losing LeBron James late in the game due to leg cramps. Guard Dwayne Wade scores 29 and James 26 to lead the Heat while former Celtic Ray Allen chips in with 19 against his old team.
In other opening night action, Dallas knocks off the Los Angeles Lakers 88-82 and Cleveland beats Washington 94-84. Ten more opening games are slated for tonight.
