The number four BCS ranked Florida football team plays its final regular season game today at BCS 10th ranked Florida State on Saturday. Our coverage starts at 12:30pm with the First And Ten pregame show.
Florida and Florida State are both 10-1 and a lot is riding on this game for both teams. With a win and a loss by number one Notre Dame, Florida most likely would be in line to play in the national championship game. A win by Florida guarantees them a BCS bowl no matter what Notre Dame does.
FSU is looking to beat Florida for the third straight time and needs this win to have any chance of moving up into contention to play for a national title. FSU is already going to play in the ACC Championship Game next week against Georgia Tech.
Florida will get the services of starting quarterback Jeff Driskel who is back after missing last week’s game with an ankle injury. But he will face the number one rated defense of FSU and a hostile road crowd.
Despite the fact that Florida has been so-so on offense, the Gators have relied on defense and special teams to put themselves in an almost unbelievable position of playing for a national title if things break right.
Florida should be very healthy for the game with Driskel, receiver Andre Debose and offensive linemen James Wilson and Xavier Nixon also available after suffering injuries.
