** The Big East may have more issues with teams leaving its league but this time the teams who may be leaving are basketball teams. Seven schools in the league, all Catholic, non football playing schools, are said to be wanting to leave the league to perhaps form another league and add teams like St.Louis and Butler.
** One of baseball’s big free agents has a new home; outfielder Josh Hamilton leaves the Texas Rangers and signs a five year, 125 million dollar deal with the Los Angeles Angels.
** Gator hoops coach Billy Donovan may have stirred up some controversy after a recent interview earlier this week. When asked if he was still interested in the NBA, Donovan told Dan LeBatard how much he loved the NBA because it is “all about basketball.”
** The Cincinnati Bengals move to 8-6 on the year after blowing out the 4-10 Philadelphia Eagles 34-13. The win also keeps the Bengals in the AFC playoff hunt.
